I'm already into kpop fandom for 3 years, like the hardcore fangirling life. Breathing sns updates every minute and spending quite some $$$ for my 'idols'. But this year, this april, I think I came up with a big realization. Fandom life is about knowing who will you support, who will be your bias, who will you stick with and not just having a mere idol figure. Kpop has played a big role in my daily life, I say oftenly, it's my great escape in this cruel world I am moving with, but this thing that I am hooking myself has its own downs too and it sucks big time 'cos in real life I already have everything shitted. That's why I am so happy to find a new reason to cut some slack about sulking how unfortunate my life is. I don't know but having Mark Tuan in my life's just like a "light bulb moment", there's just a sudden ding! at the back of my mind. Mark Tuan saved me in one of my shittiest moments, and GOT7 made everything brighter. Their group made me feel that kpop idols are more worthy of being entitled as an "idol" and not "bias". There's more to those handsome faces, good variety skills, flawless talents, there is more than being an idol. They are humans, they are friends, they are brothers, GOT7 will never be "are" but always an "is". Day by day, I learn new things from them, from their group and from Mark, but surprisingly everyone around Mark has taught me different, small yet significant things in life. It's not that I am a creep or a stalker (it's a fandom culture right? to be curious abt the life of your idol ^^) anyway, as I was saying, I got inspired by Mark's clique. First off, his family.. they are so warm and supportive and above anything else, they are so humble. Starting from the dad up to the youngest sibling. Then there's Mark's homies, his bestfriends, they really are something. Tbh, I am jealous of them, not because they are Mark's friend but because they know how to live their life to the fullest. This was just base on my observations on their sns accts. Mark's group of friends has variety of personalities. I saw that there's one college, there's an artist (idk what sort but yeah) then there's also a millionaire one, a stockbroker everybody, a stockbroker!!! Idk... maybe we are just the same age or just a couple of years older but hey, compared to what they have done, what they are doing and what they are still bound to do, I AM STILL A COMPLETE TRASH. I already had a year of experience in working as a professional, but what have I invested? what did I do that I can say "it was fucking worth it". I know this is absurd to compare but what they have done that I haven't to feel this disappointment so far? Am I making sense at all? I can't express everything at all but, all I wanted to say is my life right now is so fucked up and before I really have no idea how to flip the tables. But as I came to know Mark Tuan, GOT7, his family, his friends, I made clear goals, things to be done for my own sake, to be self-fullfilled. I have my plans already and I wish that I could at least made a progress, even just 2% of it eventually. If things will turn out well. I will be forever thankful with Mark Tuan, and I swear I would do anything to extend my gratitude to him and make him feel that he has done a great job to make someone's life better. Mark's motto is: Work hard, play hard. His millionaire friend is: Work hard, play harder. Mine would be: Work hardest, play hard. π₯
