Stand Up 2 Cancer 2014
This year’s Stand Up 2 Cancer (SU2C) telethon broadcast on September 5th was a star-studded affair with appearances by a handful of celebrities like Jessica Alba, Sofia Vergara and Jesse Tyler Fergusson. Ariana Grande also performed “My Everything,” which she dedicated to her grandfather who passed away from cancer earlier this year.

SU2C was co-founded by Katie Couric in 2008, and has raised $261 million dollars since its inception, though the telethon this year raised $109 million! The money raised will fund cancer research as SU2C has over 750 scientists from around the world who are part of “Dream Teams” that specialize in finding treatments for the disease. Also, there are over 5000 patients enrolled in clinical trials for research.

SU2C is dedicated to ending cancer NOW and is focused on making that achievement a collaborative one. It’s a movement that anyone can join especially on behalf of a loved one.
