Hi there, I understand that my words are so insignificant compared to the tragedies that you and your country have faced, but I thought I would reach out to you anyways. I don't know why the media has been silent about the bombings in Ankara and Istanbul. In a time like this where all hope is lost, I am in awe that the rest of the world is not speaking up. The culture, architecture, and people of Turkey hold a very special place in my heart. My thoughts are with you and your family/ loved ones.
Thank you so much, this means so much, all I want is for people to speak up and I think this is a subject which should be on the news constantly as much as all the injustices we are ignoring everyday while we’re so proud of being modern and fair, equitable people. It makes me sick to my stomach seeing people being proud of being a member of a first world country while they don’t care about the rest, they don’t stop to think about their roles in this world, what makes them safe and why other people don’t have it. Trust me I’m in awe about it too, this makes it much more unbearable and hopeless, I’m sick of seeing the shitty politics causing the death of innocent people. But we can’t give up and we cannot get used to it. All I am doing is sitting here writing a few things about this constant threat, but I can’t imagine what are the real victims and their families are going through. Thank you again for being a kind, understanding person, I hope we can all be safe, my loved ones and my country and all the people going through bad things, and I hope the suffering ends.
