Unpopular take; Yes, about Hudson from a François fan. Note, I enjoyed Hudson a great deal until I saw more and more of him outside of the show. He doesn't need me as a fan, my opinion means 0 and i know it. I tried liking him but i just...don't. Drawing swastikas, writing AIDS, mocking gay people, mocking black people, mocking the brutal murders of 6 million + people for being Jewish, promoting being a "bottom" as a feminist trait etc. isn't "teenagers being teenagers". It's being problematic human beings who target everyone & act like bullies. 16, 17, & 18 yr olds know better. Using the excuse of "trying to fit in" is removing all responsibility & pinning on others. They all did it for "fun". He's also still friends with a number of these people. Does everyone make mistakes growing up? Sure. We all do. Life is hard being young. Do the majority of us have the moral ability to know right from wrong ? Absolutely. Do we make a choice on who we befriend and how we behave? Absolutely. Fitting in is no excuse for cruel choices. Blaming others is a cope out. I grew up in an incredibly volatile family; drugs, alcoholism & violence galore. Was it normalized growing up? Yes. I grew up thinking everyone's families were like mine. I had no clue until I was older that watching the adults in your family do drugs & get arrested for violent crimes wasn't typical so to speak. I grew up, I saw it and I didn't do it. Any of it. Was i pretty lonely? Absolutely. I was, but I'd rather have been lonely than associate with people doing wrong. Family or classmates..didn't matter. It was my choice to be them or do better. I picked better. Because we do have the instinctual sense of knowing right from wrong & we are responsible for our choices. It's too easy to blame everyone around us instead of accepting that we decide who we are. Are some people easily influenced ? Sure, but we still make our choices. It's on us. Hudson wasn't a victim, he made choices and kept making choices and keeps making choices that are, well, wrong. Sorry, but even the way he acts like Heated Rivalry is all about his "bottom eyes" is dismissive. His fans have spent months and months attacking François & trying to dig up nonexistent dirt on him because face it, he's always been a good person. They are biphobic and homophobic in their attacks on him & Connor. He fed delusions that were part of the initial attacks on François. They excuse hating François because he's white (as if Hudson doesn't have a white father..) but whenever something comes out about Hudson they make a million excuses. He and his fans play the pity me victim card and its nonsense. He's screwed up over and over and over and that's on him. Take responsibility for being a lousy person and grow from it. Be better. Do better. He can. Anyone can take responsibility and grow from their choices but not if you opt to play victim to your own choices.
I was a huge obsessed fan of Aaron Rodgers (quarterback who used to play for my favorite football team) & then it came out that he was far right and didn't support minority groups, equality or equity for all, and he mocked school shootings. I'm no longer a fan of him (and I was a huuuuuge fan for 15 yrs 😭) because he stands by his words and choices and never apologizes for being wrong. Its actually easy to expect those we admire or are fans of to do better or remove support until they do. No one os above criticism or personal responsibility.
I know this will tick off a lot of people but spare me the arguments because I won't change my mind.
I'm just glad I "stan" the unproblematic kind human being that François is. The thing i love most is his kindness and his genuine love and support for goodness in this world. He and Connor are sunshine, happiness, and kindness through and through.
I hope Hudson does better though because I've no doubt he can do so. ♥️
- I so desperately want to talk about these two and finally decided to make a blog
- here to talk, follow, discuss everything about Connor and Francois, individual or together
- Please feel free to send in asks or dm me
- No hate towards any other cast members, this space is only geared towards Connor and Francois
- I do think they are currently together but if you have a differing view point I do respect it but please don't just put that in my asks unless you want my input about the difference ( please specify in that case ) because otherwise I don't know what to do with your ask because I do not want to argue about the relationship of people who ultimately are strangers to me and you. If it's just the opinion I'll delete them from now on.
Why are we surprised ? I think it was pretty clear that Heated Rivalry fans do not care about bigotry and queerphobia the moment they passively let a queer man become the target of a homophobic hate campaign without saying anything against it (or even joining into the hate campaign by making light of the aids crisis, of course).

HAPPY PRIDE MONTH FROM @FRANCOISARNAUDSOURCE!
I'm sure many bisexual guys feel the same and end up doing as I did: letting other people's assumptions of straightness stand uncorrected. Perhaps out of fear of oversharing. Under the guise of privacy, maybe. Probably because "masculinity" is a most fragile currency, ready to nose-dive at the first sign of vulnerability or difference. And because it's really fucking scary to give up your privilege. Without a doubt because stigmas of indecisiveness, infidelity, deception and trendiness are still clinging to bisexuality. But here's the thing. Silence has the perverse effect of perpetuating those stereotypes, making bi guys invisible, and leading people to doubt that we even exist. No wonder it's still a chore to acknowledge bisexuality without getting into lengthy explanations. So, yes, labels are frustrating and words, imperfect. But I've always considered myself bisexual. Not confused or trying to look edgy. Not disloyal. Not ashamed. Not invisible. - François Arnaud
