First of all, What is feminism? Feminism was first introduced in the 1960s. First wave feminists focused on legal inequalities and women's suffrage. Second-wave feminists (1960s - 1080s) broadened the debate to include cultural inequalities, gender norms and the role of women in society. Third wave feminists emerged in the mid-1990s, this was when feminists battled obstacles like the racist, sexist and classist symbols. Fourth wave feminists emerged around 2012, to focus on justice for women and opposition against sexual assault and violence against women. We’re in the fourth wave of feminism right now. Other than sexual assault and so on, feminism has broadened the term ‘feminists’ as people who support all women. This includes sex workers, transwomen, the LGBTQ+ community and women of different races and religions.

Fourth wave feminists want to finish the job. Since our goals have become more diverse, we’ve seen movements for queer rights, ending gender stereotypes and continuing the fight for sexual autonomy. We hope that this wave of feminism will be the last in feminist history. We hope to achieve equality for all and justice for all. My creating movements such as the #MeToo movement and the #YesAllWomen movement, we spread awareness on harassment at school, work, home and public spaces. This means we dive deep into the media and social consciousness. We also face the reality of forced and child marriages. Each year, they marry 12 million girls off before the age of 18. It deprives these girls of education, health, safety, and human rights. We need to fix that by donating to platforms like ‘Womens WorldWide Web’ and ‘Global Giving’. We move a step closer to helping girls in countries like Ghana, India, Pakistan, Morocco, Senegal and many more. There are also many other things feminism does, and one of them is opposing misandry and acknowledge men who fight for equality. We help one and other recognize that inequality is an issue for all genders and needs to be resolved by working together. Fourth wave feminism also stands against body shaming, slut shaming or any other shaming. Everyone is entitled to feel confident and comfortable in their body no matter their appearances nor sizes. Along with that, fourth wave feminism stands for being pro-choice. Which doesn’t mean we’re anti-life, it means “My body, My rules”. We advocate for proper sex education in schools (heterosexual and homosexual sex ed.), abortion rights and 100% control over our own bodies. These are the main factors of the fourth wave of feminism and why it’s important. We also need to end the spread of bigotry and negativity to future generations (and ourselves!) and help make the world a more positive, interesting and better place.

Thus, we conclude that the world isn’t yet equal for all women, men and others. We realize that feminism has grown into a powerful force that stands for equality and justice for all. With that, I say that I’m proud to be a feminist, and when we reach peak equality for all, we’ll realize that we never have been asking to be treated like royalty, only to be treated as humans. Fighting for women's rights means fighting for human rights, and hopefully, the fight will end soon with all humans living as humans were meant to be - free.
