There's no greater love than oven drying veggies and egg shells for ten hours then manually grinding them into powder for your children 💕
Isopod General Care Guide
Will be periodically updating with links and info that I learn or remember. This list is not the end all, be all. The materials listed are an idea of what can be used. Do your own research and compare. Commercially available items are listed for ease of access, not standard recommended use

I love being nibbled on by my isos. There's nothing quite like being eaten alive by something so tiny that thinks you're tastier than shrimp
Every time I see this I am filled with an ugly, violent rage.
They give you a block of coco fiber and three leaves and say that it's perfect for all species of isopods ON WHAT FUCKING PLANET!!!????"Oh but they give you a little informational guide" I guarantee you it's just a bunch of corporate bullshit telling you what products of theirs to buy. They're selling this shit for $30 and $30 could get you the basic supplies you actually need and isopods
I saw a video awhile ago of a kid who had saved his money to buy this kit and it took everything in me not to absolutely slam the parents for not doing a single ounce of research on the pet they let their son have. I understand to most people that they're just bugs but this happens for literally every single animal anyone can ever own- cats, dogs, lizards- nobody does any damn research. They think that just because something has the word kit in it that it means it has all the things you could ever need for that animal and then get confused when it dies a week later. If you are getting an animal, regardless of if it's a dog or an insect, DO SOME BASIC FUCKING RESEARCH. It takes 5 minutes to read a couple of articles or check out some websites of people that actually own and care for whatever animal you plan on getting. Don't use a.i, don't believe what the corporate pet stores tell you, do legitimate research and treat your pet with the respect it damn well deserves
When I'm digging for bugs with my chickens and they see an isopod at the same time as me before I can relocate it
