As the baby of the family, Isla was showered with all of the attention and love she could ask for and this shaped her into the person she is today. From a very early age, she was an energetic and affectionate kid and along the years she became very confident and developed a strong need for attention.
Her life has been a whirlwind of emotions ever since she graduated high school. She tried to attend college, but she was so unsure on what to study that she dropped it after a year. Having so many successful siblings to live up to put pressure on her, and she decided she had to at least find a job while she figured what to do with her life.
In two years she worked in five different places. She felt bad for quitting everything so quickly, but none of the occupations she had in Chicago felt right for her. Her parents have always been loving and caring, but they were worried about her and growing a little impatient with her lack of goals.
Her life changed, as it tends to, without warning. One day, Lucy, her big sister and best friend, announced she was moving to another state. The news destroyed her, and even altered the family dynamic a little. It was hard to understand how fast things could change, but that was only the beginning of the twists and turns in her life.
The pressure to choose a career or at least set goals became very real for her. Even her siblings were telling her stuff now. The fact that Lucy wasn’t around only made the whole situation worse, and Isla often thought about visiting her to have some time away from their family.
It was after a fight with one of her brothers that she made up her mind. Without a clear idea of her future, and missing Lucy terribly, Isla bought a bus ticket and surprised her big sister. She meant to stay only a couple of days, but sensing that Lucy needed her as much as she needed Lucy made Isla reconsider it and she decided to move to Salem too.
