I like to imagine Kilowog had to keep reminding them he's just plain old Kilowog, and Vath and Isamot kept trying to break the 'sir' habit, but they just respected him so damn much.
I love Kilowog's righteous anger at these two sworn enemies who soon become best friends and ruin my life.

Oh, look! Vath AND Isamot are BOTH in the new 52! So nice to see they BOTH survived the relaunch. You know, TEN ISSUES IN.
This was my other issue with the relaunch GLC: Pre-relaunch, GLC had a FANTASTIC ensemble cast that included these two always-head-butting bastards, and when they came back, you only saw Isamot for the longest time, even though GLC continuity was still fully intact meaning Isamot GIVING VATH HIS LEGS was never fucking dealt with and was SO IMPORTANT to their storyline.

I REALLY like Isamot x Vath as a BROTP.
They're totally the best BROTP ever. They used to be enemies, but now they're friends. It's like a reverse Fox and the Hound story. Except with a human-ish Rannian and a Thanagarian Lizard-Man. YUP. Just like fox and the hound.
I really REALLY hope they appear in GLTAS if they do an episode on not judging books on their covers or something to that end. I really love these two. They're both Army guys and they kick ass. They're a couple of my fav GL's and I just love them to bits.
I even love that one part where Isamot gave his legs to Vath after his got chopped off. Isamot's would grow back, so he's like, 'no big deal brah, have my legs. You'd do the same for me, right?'

When even the big name characters of a series don't have much fanwork floating around the net-- 99.999999999999999999999999999% of the time, there is next to nothing for the characters I love most. Forever alone in loving obscure characters in small fandoms.
