You know for a second I wasn't exactly sure if this song would be seen as inappropriate pop culture R&B referencing smoke, but then the SPIRIT just reminded of the throne room scene with Isaiah. The one that #RC Sproul is most famous for shining a spotlight on, now I know why there is this other worldy tone to this song: It is pure worship to desire GOD

This refers to the powerful vision in Isaiah 6:1-8. The prophet Isaiah is transported into the divine throne room following the death of King Uzziah. As heavenly beings called seraphim cry out "Holy, Holy, Holy," their voices shake the foundations of the temple, and it instantly fills with thick, billowing smoke. [1, 2, 3, 4] The Smoke and Shaking: The seraphim—powerful Angels with six wings—praise GOD, causing the doorframes and thresholds to shake violently while the space fills with dense, holy smoke. Top down attentional effect. A way our brains work to avoid sensory overload. Focusing in on what we want to see. It affects our thinking in many ways, including in ways that make us anxious and worried.

Isaiah 6 vs 3 The glory of God overwhelms Isaiah, but he is cleansed (in aforeshadowing of what Jesus does for everyone who believes at the Cross). The angel (or Jesus Himself) reassures Isaiah.

The glory of God shakes not only the Temple but the whole creation. The whole creation proclaims God's glory.
