Ah. I tend to start with some quote... There’s no mystery.

I knew Noel well enough to understand exactly how he works. At the beginning he makes you feel like you’re the only woman in the world. He looks at you with that mix of irony and charm, makes you laugh, says exactly what you need to hear so you start believing there’s something special between you.

For a while, you even believe it yourself.

That’s his trick.

But after some time you start noticing everything is recycled. The same lines. The same stories. The same attitude when he gets bored. And most of all, the same ending: another woman waiting somewhere…in a bar, backstage, or in some hotel.

There’s always another one.

That’s why it makes me laugh when people talk about the “mysterious woman” as if she’s something deep or important. She isn’t. She’s just the next one in line.

Noel isn’t mysterious. He isn’t complicated. In fact, he’s not even particularly original in that department.

He’s predictable.

Charm, attention, intensity… and then distance.

Always the same cycle.

So if someone thinks this time is different, that now he’s finally found “the one”…

Well.

We all thought that at the beginning.

"I knew Noel" and "we all thought that at the beginning". I am unsure if you speak from personal experience, like you have been through that, or like someone who has observed him closely.

I get the cynicism. I haven't bought the image of the loyal faithful person/husband for long time. I think he has been better than Liam at hiding it. Just that. And I cannot think what Meg or Sara went through 😅 But whoever will come or will believe that there's something real, I don't want to judge them harshly or blame them for that. He is fascinating.
