When miss Swift gets criticism from a public figure and swifties show up in the twitter replies going “oh yeah, what about this??” And just post an out of context lyric about being sad 😭😭 As someone who likes artists with some truly dogshit lyrics let me be the first to tell you this argument doesn’t mean shit to anyone
#posting lyrics without the melodic context is the lowest form of defense for anyone’s artistry btw#my pretentious music opinion as that lyrics always have to be considered as part of a whole song and pulling out stray lines of eloquence#is meaningless#with any artist!! but especially miss Swift where half her lyrics are meaningful BECAUSE of their context!!#old man yells at cloud
