I finally finished the book "Deceived" and can I just say
SWTOR Malgus >>>>>>> DECEIVED Malgus
His views on the force and actions in battle are way more calculated in the game. Way more relatable.
That's not to say that all his actions in the book were without (his) reason, but they felt raw. Undeveloped. Impulsive. And also pretty much predictable.
Which isn't bad, it just feels like he had character development in between the treaty of Coruscant and his arc on Ilum.
His motivation and hatred for authority in the Sith Empire stayed though and I think it's what makes Malgus Malgus. (Even though he creates a new authority by "serving only the force" but I mean, that's a whole philosophical discussion in of itself)
Can't wait for the next story update to see what his future holds. ^^
