(Boop!)
Look, I know I'm overthinking things, but I've been overthinking things for the past few days so here me put.
I know I'm definitely probably being melodramatically sentimentalist here, but I really do feel that when you really get down to it Eleena is in love with the memory of the apprentice who saved her on Geonosis all those years ago. But that person doesn't exist anymore, which is something she hasn't fully been able to come to terms with to actually leave. It would definitely be the best option for her, not that she would ever really be able to. The Sith are nothing if not possessive. And on some levels I don't think Malgus would have even been able to let her go even if he wanted to, because that culture is just so deeply ingrained in him.
Just overall yeah, too many thoughts and feelings, but not skilled enough at all to put into words. May post more later.
So you know that girl in the box trope...
You know the one. The one where a crate is opened, cryogenic mist spills out and in the middle you find someone like this:
Or maybe they look like this...
In either case, these are traumatized girls that had been either created by science or were subjected to unethical experimentation. The end goal being to turn them into tools for others to take advantage of.Â
That being said...

Malgus is a Girl in a Box and he should have arrived on Ossus naked. I WAS ROBBED OF A PEELED POTATO!Â
I finally finished the book "Deceived" and can I just say
SWTOR Malgus >>>>>>> DECEIVED Malgus
His views on the force and actions in battle are way more calculated in the game. Way more relatable.
That's not to say that all his actions in the book were without (his) reason, but they felt raw. Undeveloped. Impulsive. And also pretty much predictable.
Which isn't bad, it just feels like he had character development in between the treaty of Coruscant and his arc on Ilum.
His motivation and hatred for authority in the Sith Empire stayed though and I think it's what makes Malgus Malgus. (Even though he creates a new authority by "serving only the force" but I mean, that's a whole philosophical discussion in of itself)
Can't wait for the next story update to see what his future holds. ^^

[Deceived spoilers]
Malgus: I was protecting Eleena. I will always protect Eleena
Also Malgus: I‘m on my way to murder Eleena.
After almost 10 years, we’re finally getting a continuation of the ‘The Old Republic: Deceived’ novel’s storyline. These are all the scenes featuring Aryn Leneer so far in the game (Patch 6.1 - Pinnacles of Power and Patch 6.2 - Echoes of Vengeance).
"He hurts even those he himself loves. These men and their wars. His name is Veradun, Jedi. And he would kill me if he knew I told you. But names are important."
