just saw art someone did of mew mew/pink beating up spamton that was tagged "#something something beating up your narrative parallel who traumatized kris and also as symbolism for hope's triumph over doom" which feels so. idk the word but like. did you miss the part where kris heavily identifies with spamton and is implied to want to help him themself outside of our intervention... might as well draw pink beating up kris in that case 😑
(also. how is beating up a mentally ill homeless man who literally lost everything supposed to symbolize hope triumphing over doom. what)
#deltarune spoilers#idk how to word my thoughts but#i just find it funny how much some people truly dislike him and think he's the worst or that he symbolizes everything bad#but that the narrative itself is incredibly sympathetic to him and encourages you to consider his story in a compassionate light#i'm not naming names here or encouraging hate toward anyone btw#it just irks me when it feels like people blatantly misrepresent characters in a way to put another character on a pedestal#you can like what pink's fight says about kris without using it to act like spamton is horrible and personally responsible for whatever kris#is going through#am i making sense??#idk i'm exhausted and haven't gotten much sleep the last few days so idek if i'm coherent
