Depends on the context, but Candle likes her personal space. but ok lets see what would be a situation where this would happen

After a long, tiring day of repairing the city, where every citizen was obligated to dedicate their time to fixing the damage wrought by extreme heat and angered rebels, Candle couldn't bring herself to walk all the way back to the slums, instead leaning on Leon's shoulder as he limped his way to the barracks.

"You're heavy," he muttered as they climbed the steps slowly.

"You stink," she replied, stifling a yawn.

Leon fumbled for his keys and somehow managed to open the door, and the two... comrades? allies? friends? stumbled through. Candle groaned and flopped onto a bed; it smelled like sweat and dust and heat. Leon barely had the strength to kick Candle's legs out of the way before throwing himself on the meager mattress as well. Both of them were snoring gently before the door stopped swinging on its hinge.

Generally he's the voice of reason, when he's not working to lighten the mood. I like to think of him as an overprotective big brother sort.

You... could argue that everyone has their bits of magic, his own abilities included, in Senbasa, so no generally it isn't all that surprising to him. The only things that really shock him are more... out there, since hell we've even got generals who raise the dead running around.
