Travelling to the Twilight Highlands was easy but not without its own hiccups, as you can imagine. And despite the area and general history of the Twilight Highlands, there is some beauty in the evil looking purple landscape. I’d bring you back a rock from here since I know you like to collect such from places, but I don’t really trust the dirt here.

I hope the twins and Ayaka are doing well too. Tell them that I miss then and I’ll try to get home as soon as I can. They’ll be seeing Adrya soon after we all arrive home as their Grandfather (Adrya’s dad and the Hammer of the Witches) will be going through his death send-off and they should say goodbye to him. Don’t tell them that part though, their mother can explain it to them if she wants.

It’s kind of hard to be alone on campaigns without someone to sleep next to at night, you know? I felt like such when we went to Draenor for the brief time and I missed you terribly. I miss you now too. Don’t get me wrong it is very nice that you did retire and decided to stay home when you did (less for me to worry about) but I won’t lie in saying it is very lonely. Also that’s the reason you may have noticed one of your shirts is missing, since I put it next to me to sleep at night so I can pretend you are next to me. (Don’t worry it’ll come back clean and undamaged).

Try to write back if you can. I’m sure the letter will get out here easily enough.

I am glad that you are able to sleep and rest despite how hard it may be for you. If it may help, try to put one of my shirts on my side of the bed and hug it at night. A poor replacement for me, I know, but it may help with falling asleep easier if it gives you problems! Also I took one of your shirts for this reason (don't worry, it's still in mint condition and has not be riddled with holes from battles or any wartime shenanigans).

Hearing you say that you've passed the brightest spot in the summer of your life just makes me feel old and I know that isn't the intent. To be honest: I feel like that too sometimes despite myself. At least we'll see the rest of the years together with each of us by the other's side. You said it yourself; we have a lot more adventures to go on together and I look forward to each and every one.

Tell the children I say hello, by the way. You do a wonderful job with them and they think fondly of you.

Happy stuff put out first, we had to go into a crypt a few days ago to retrieve some crystal from some warlocks who had set up shop there. You could feel the anguish of the spirits in the area, it was everywhere. We dealt with the lone warlock we found (surprising, right?) and Sophy found a child Draenei ghost in the main chamber. She was... precious and sad. It's always hard to think about such things, so I won't dwell on it much in this letter. Mostly due to your condition and all.

Anyway, she pointed us to the crystal and it was covered in black, gooey webbing. One of us picked up the child for her to touch it (she asked to touch the crystal) and suddenly the room was filled with screams of pain and crying. The webbing vanished and so did the little spirit girl. She purified the crystal, I think. It was both heart-warming and heart-wrenching.
