“can you believe that my mum is getting married in a couple days?!” iris chuckled as she continued with the place cards that she and arlo were making. she didn’t think that she had ever been this happy before. a little while ago, iris didn’t even know who her dad was and now? now her mum and dad were getting married! that was something that kids dreamed off. she didn’t think that she had stopped smiling since her parents had given her the news. “and mum seems really good, you know? she’s happy. she’s sober again, which you know is a good thing.” iris had been really worried about bridie when she had found out about noah being elias’ son. it definitely seemed like she was turning the corner to good again.  

     🌺𝐼𝑟𝑖𝑠;;– Naturally, the younger Amicitia would relish in any moments she could get with Noctis-- Not being able to see him often what with each of them having their own respective responsibilities. Though she didn’t think she’d get a shot like this, as far as a small makeover was concerned. It wasn’t like it was anything big, even if the way Noctis sounded almost said otherwise.

Iris had been looking forward to spending the evening with her mum - that was until she had realised that it was a trap, an ambush. She hadn’t wanted to spend time with her at all, she just wanted to do something to try and get her and Arlo to talk and Iris wasn’t happy about it in the slightest. “I’m going to go to Johnnys. You two have the house to yourselves tonight.” Iris’ eyes went wide as she heard that. She could hardly believe her mothers audacity. “Mum.” Iris muttered as she saw her heading to the door. “Mother!” She shouted once the door was closed. She couldn’t believe that she would do this. That she would leave her with Arlo. She knew that she couldn’t leave, that he could just follow her around the house if he wanted too. She rolled her eyes and went to sit on the sofa - the same place that he had broken her heart. “What do you want Arlo? I’m assuming she filled you in on her master idea? So say what you came to say then you can leave.” 

“Wake up!” Iris laughed as she moved into her mums room, where Arlo had been sleeping. She wasn’t even sure when the two of them had gone to sleep but she knew that it was late. It was almost two in the afternoon now and Nancy had already gone home. Iris was just glad that her mum hadn’t decided to come home early, though she assumed that she’d not be too much longer. Iris wasn’t as hungover as she had thought she had been, though she didn’t know if that was the case for Arlo. “I’ll fucking make you breakfast if you get up.”
