“ I got one thing I wanted when you came back.” though happy, there was still so much between them that hasn’t been said. There was still something she needed to tell him but Scarlett didn’t know how. “ But I suppose that’s one gift I can’t really call mine, can I?” She smiled so sadly at Ralf that it almost broke her heart to try. 

“ For what it’s worth - despite what you think you know, I never moved on. Not like you may think. What I had after you is nothing compared to you and me - never could be, never would be. And if it even remotely stood a chance I wouldn’t have...” Scarlett paused. No, she’d not put that on Ralf. He didn’t need to know that she was willing to let go of what she made when he was gone on the off chance she could be happy with him again. 

Coming to the islands was more of a spur of the moment thing rather than something she thought out. Normally the one who didn’t act so spontaneous , after her last relationship she seemed to be doing a lot of things that she should have taken more into consideration than acting on feelings alone. Regret? Oh, she lived with it, but she told herself every morning and every night before bed that it was for the best - he’d be better off. Find someone worth his time and kind heart. But here on the islands the odds of ever seeing him again were slim, or so she thought.

She took up various jobs to keep herself busy : bar tending which she was good at, waitressing because it was fun for her, and part time office job which she had to admit wasn’t her favorite thing in the world but it helped pay the bills. Tonight it was putting on a smile and waiting on peoples tables. Caidence had her numbers and proceeded to make her rounds.  Her pad in hand she walked up to the table she’d next be serving with a bright smile on her face until she noticed one of the men sitting in the chair and she dropped the pad and pen in surprise. It seemed like fate wasn’t satisfied with the choices she made, and was now forcing her to come face to face with her past.

Camden looked up from his books and stared intently at Julie for a moment hoping that the answer wasn’t the obvious one. “ I am going to say ‘you’ but I hope it wasn’t you and we are forced into this against our will.” He chuckled, and blushed. Boy, did he blush. “ Julie...Now I’m not mad that you signed us up for carolin’ , but I gotta small confession to make.” He moved , turning to look at her.
