Another one of my upmost favourite illustrators, I have been following Iraville for a long time and been wanting her prints on my wall for too long! Her colour choices, the delicate shapes and elegant shading makes her pieces so mesmerising. I honestly think the work she creates has a magical feel and makes something so simple as a shrub and tree so beautiful and peaceful.
It was her illustration of the back yards of a couple houses that inspired my christmas card this year and grabbed my attention. Thermal details are so characteristic and personal, you can really believe that Iraville noticed every little detail and made an effort to recreate these little houses perfectly.
Her colours are also so fascinating as sometimes you can notice that a colour is completely wrong for its scenario but when you step back, the colours together are perfect, like the red tips to the bushes and the orange trees. I love this work and gives me so much inspiration to play with colours and take a look closer into nature and see the true colours rather than the ones I guess.
i know i´m a bit late with my #meettheartist. but i was very busy and i normally don´t like doing things everyone is doing. but in this case i got tons of requests and messages and i thougt, because i don´t post personal stuff very often, it would maybe really interisting for you. so..., i am not doing this BECAUSE everyone is doing it, i do it EVEN THOUGH everyone is doing it. i hope it gives you an idea of how or who i am.
