A name too long for the rear lid of this chauffeur limo, spotted outside Deutsche Bahn headquarters. Let us decipher: 740 denotes two liters of displacement and four cylinders. Le means this is the long version (L) plug-in hybrid (e). xDrive is BMW’s allroad. As found on the M and MPerformance modells, BMW now also distinguishes between electric cars  (i-models such as the i3 and i8) and partially electric hybrids (iPerformance).

Estos niveles mejorados son el resultado del desarrollo de una tecnología de propulsión completamente nueva. Comprende un motor de 6 cilindros en línea de 3.0 litros y 210 kW / 286 hp de la familia actual de plantas de poder BMW EfficientDynamics y la última generación de la tecnología BMW eDrive. Una potencia del sistema eléctrico de 82 kW / 112 hp, una batería de iones de litio con capacidad de almacenamiento expandida y electrónica de potencia desarrollada para la gestión inteligente de la energía le dan al sistema híbrido conectable del BMW X5 xDrive45e iPerformance, características únicas de rendimiento y una impresionante nivel de eficiencia. Gracias a la batería de alto voltaje colocada en la parte inferior de la carrocería del vehículo, el centro de gravedad es menor que en las variantes de modelos con propulsión convencional. El volumen del maletero del BMW X5 xDrive45e iPerformance es de aproximadamente150 litros menos. Cuando se usan todos los asientos, el volumen de almacenamiento es de 500 litros, pero, si los respaldos traseros están abatidos, hay disponible un volumen de 1,716 litros. El volumen del tanque de combustible es de 69 litros, adecuado para largas distancias.

El nuevo BMW X5 xDrive45e iPerformance viene equipado de serie con una suspensión neumática de dos ejes y amortiguadores controlados electrónicamente. Los valores de rendimiento de combustible, emisiones de CO2 y rendimiento de energía que se muestran, se determinaron en el ciclo de prueba estandarizado de acuerdo con el Reglamento Europeo (CE) 715/2007, en la versión aplicable en el momento de la homologación. Las cifras se refieren a un vehículo con configuración básica en Alemania y el rango mostrado considera equipos opcionales y las diferentes medidas de ruedas y neumáticos disponibles en el modelo seleccionado y pueden variar durante la configuración.

Los valores ya se basan en el ciclo de prueba de acuerdo con la nueva regulación WLTP y se vuelven a traducir en valores equivalentes NEDC para permitir una comparación entre vehículos. Con respecto a estos vehículos, para los impuestos relacionados con los vehículos u otras obligaciones basadas (al menos entre otras cosas) en las emisiones de CO2, los valores de CO2 pueden diferir de los valores establecidos aquí.
