iPad Reflection ā SOUND ā JayĀ Loomis I would like to have more control over the sound that my iPad (re)produces. While I'm listening to music I like to have some control over the low, mid, and high frequency mix.

Ken's iPad Reflection: Programming on the iPad
Kenās iPad Reflection: Programming on theĀ iPad
I reached out for opinions from CS students on using the iPad for schoolwork. The consensus was that there wasnāt really a good way to accomplish most necessary tasks on the tablet, however there was some support for the SurfaceĀ Pro, a fully functional Windows 8 tablet with a touch screen. Iām actually considering getting one instead of a new MacBook, although Iām not quite convinced about it. Itā¦

Using the iPad to create this was an over all positive experience. I shot the footage using the native photo app as well as iMovie and a short segment using the āstop motionā app. I made slides using the Phoster app and compiled it in iMovie and added some of the stock music as well as voice recording done in the app. As someone who works with video editing and animation frequently I foundā¦

Earlier on in the semester I mentioned how the iPad native keyboard needed some kind of swipe function. After doing some research I found SwiftKey. SwiftKey is a nice keyboard. It functions how itās supposed to. It connects with your facebook to learn the words you use and learns from there. There have been times where I needed to delete words and reswipe them. Some things this app could improveā¦

Since my last iPad reflection, Iāve been exploring more options for diagramming apps. Iāve found cloud-based one that I like a lot called LucidChart. Iāve previously used draw.io, which is similar but the mobile browser experience is terrible. LucidChart has a native iOS app in addition to their browser version, and since itās cloud-based you can easily go back and forth between devices andā¦

Iāve been experimenting with an app called Lemur. I have used this app previously as a MIDI controller for Ableton Live, but now Iām examining new possibilities that will allow me to use my iPad to construct and control samples of Ā urban soundscapes so I canĀ emphasize different noises that are present in a variety of cities around the world. Even though the Lemur app is very user friendly andā¦

Iāve been using the iPad for all of my courses for several semesters and it keeps me organized and paper free. One thing I like about taking notes in GoodNotes is that I have about 100 different colors to choose from with different styles of writing. I use a lot of different colors when I take notes which helps me to stay organized and aware of different topics that come up during a lecture orā¦

To be completely honest when the iPad first came out, I thought it was a wasted piece of tech. After using one for a week I cannot imagine working without it. Iām not 100% Ā knowledgeable of what the iPad can do so as of now I use it as a second screen while I work on a game Iām making.
At this point Iām considering not buying a notebook and using the iPad for all my notes, so at the moment Iāmā¦
