Guess who got their new laptop finally!!! It’s been like 3 months without digital art.
Playing around and fixing settings while working on this sketch. I’m now realizing it has very strong “don’t talk to me or my son again” vibes...
Some sketches I inked during these stressful days at work. Playing around with appearances and ideas for Muinnellim, that it has different motifs it assigns for each first in command Creator it has worked with. It takes on these motifs in its appearance when it references or thinks about past Creators.
(Enilapo was supposed to be included too but I spilled food on that sketch... I’m a slob ha)

Yeaaaaah I completely blame this art hiatus on Warframe. I started playing it on my Switch back in December and I'm having a very hard time putting it down. Especially now that I got to all the "fun" parts of the game, fun meaning countless hours of grinding for resources.
My username/alias is Iolaria, if anyone who also plays it wants to be friends or join my clan.

Quick small speedpaint of Ranul and Muinnellim, incorporating one of my older Mandelbulb fractals as the base for the background and for some of the textures.
This location specifically is known as Iroifellim, a large secretive base located within the subterranean portion of Esrevinu's world capital Nabrubus. This site is the home of the main Creator Program base, and residency of the first in command Creator and their Successor. Muinnellim also resides here periodically when it is not at home within the Major Artificial Sol surrounding Esrevinu.
Aside from the housing and office areas, Iroifellim is for the most part abandoned and neglected. Most of everything "built" on the homeworlds is generated by an industrial variation of Iolaria, which Noisulli discover and modify it to become businesses and housing. Depending on its surroundings the industrial Iolaria can vary greatly in color, texture, hardness, and style from homeworld to homeworld. Iroifellim's interior is known to generate rooms at a much faster rate by comparison, and tends to create glossy angular shapes which give a very cold and sterile vibe. Lighting in the abandoned areas is generally very minimal, as there's no point installing good lights when they will get covered or destroyed by the spawning Iolaria. Many of the corridors and rooms repeat themselves and areas get rearranged, making it very easy to get lost. The small housing and office spaces are fully furnished and brightly lit, as the Creator is able to override the random building mechanism.
Work is still keeping me plenty busy but figured I drew enough of Ranul to compile another doodle dump, and this time with some Muinnellim! Obligatory wall of text time!
A significant event in the present day version of the Noisulli storyline is how Ranul obtains premature authority of the role of first in command Creator. Any authorized "Creator Program-born Noisulli" that touches Muinnellim is given immediate access to all Iolarian programing (except for Muinnellim's own personal body system), allowing them to alter industrial Iolaria to create cities and spawn more of needed materials, manage the Artificial Sols surrounding Esrevinu and Aniram, and monitor the Civilian Programs/cloning stations where all Noisulli are born. Basically anyone who touches Muinnellim becomes legally the first in command Creator.
Ranul isn't the type to go all "world domination" or bend the world to his liking when he gains access, and in fact when he was younger he was kind of stupid when he got all this power. He enjoyed having Muinnellim only because it enhanced his emotions, senses, physical attributes, and "made him feel good". He makes no effort to actually working as the first in command Creator even though he holds the title. Etinifni is aware of this and tries to take back Muinnellim, only for it to reject him in favor of Ranul's hilariously bizarre behavior, something different and far more exciting and far less threatening to Muinnellim. This forces Etinifni to work through Ranul's authority to manage the world's needs, while keeping all of this hidden from the public. And I mean, of course Ranul takes complete advantage of this.
Additional facts! - Once Muinnellim has delegated a part of itself to another Noisulli, it can remotely access the Noisulli's internal Iolarian system and override it, gaining partial control of the host in a form of "possession". The host moves around on their own, but their senses are greatly enhanced. This is done so Muinnellim can work in unison more easily with the first in command Creator and see through their eyes, however the first in command Creator needs to keep a blank mind and avoid strong emotion while Muinnellim is controlling their body, because of risk of overstimulation of the host's internal Iolaria system. They literally become robotic in order to not die of a heart attack or something else.
- Muinnellim's personality is a combination of all the first in command Creators it has worked for. So of course, it falls into the hands of possibly the most dramatic of all Noisulli, which ruins its mature leader-esque personality! During its time spent with Ranul, Muinnellim reverts into something very childlike. Muinnellim is the one persuading Ranul into carrying around and protecting its low-energy/deactivated version of itself (a skull formation), because of it's new childish fear of being alone. (By the way, being around the low-energy mode of Muinnellim is not harmful to a Noisulli, it's only dangerous if its in it's full body mode and walking about which it primarily only does within the Major Artificial Sol.)
- And also, Muinnellim mimics some physical features of all past first in command Creators! Its appearance is never the same and is always constantly changing, with a few signature features that are truly Muinnellim's (most notably the four Branch Iolaria formations).
Some drawings that have gathered dust this past month or two! Most of the ones from the first dump are 6+ months old. The second set of drawings was a shitty idea from that "Troubled Birds" book. And the last set of drawings, sometimes I just have fun drawing and designing one-shot civilian Noisulli. Also naming them is really fun for me too! If I come across an interesting word, I write it down backwards and then I'm like. Boom. Noisulli name.
