Wanda was tangled in bed sheets and covered in sweat. She’d woken screaming and panicking, unable to breathe, suffocated by her nightmares. She grabbed at her brother’s arms, feeling his skin beneath her hands and trying to heed his words. “Don’t leave me.” She begged softly, moving one hand to the bed sheets and trying to focus on the feel of the cotton against her skin. She tried to control her breathing. “Don’t....”

“You don’t what?” The bright grin on her face suggested Peach’s lack of enthusiasm wasn’t dissuading Beck. She stepped out from under the awning into the cascade of water droplets and spun on her heel. It was a cold, refreshing rain that tickled along her cheeks and soaked her golden curls in a way that delighted her. She wanted to share that joy.

It was quite the rarity that Henry Wingrave made his way back to Bly. So many ghosts haunted the darkness of his mind that he so wished he could will away. Yet not even liquor and loneliness could rid those ghosts from his mind.  

“I think I found a familiar pair of shoes in the prefects toilets.” Saoirse says with a kind smile. She’d dried them off but she still felt bad wished she could have stopped it. She feels bad for the girl she was a bit strange but that didn’t mean people had the right to treat her like that. “Do you know who takes your things?” They make get a special box of sweets from the Weasleys if Saoirse could figure it out. “i mean... so they can tell us where the rest of your shoes are.”

You wouldn’t expect it to be even possible to be able to tell whether it was New Years Day the next day or not. However, a phone had been found that hadn’t run out of battery just yet. The community was also working on bringing back working electricity. Until then, it was rarely used so that the phone wouldn’t run out of battery. Today was an exception.

Today the phone had been used in order to confirm that today, a day that was coming to an end, was in fact New Years Eve! Lee had been purposely keeping an eye out for this day to come, so that he could bring back a tradition that happened every year prior to the apocalypse. A smile appeared on the man’s features at the thought of the tradition returning. 

The man approached the young woman known as Beth Greene, wrapped his arms around her waist, pulled her closely into his embrace for a hug and pressed his lips against hers softly to celebrate the New Year coming in. As the woman’ arms wrapped around his neck, Lee allowed the moment to last longer then one usually should. In fact, he pretty much cheated. Pressing his lips against hers multiple times before pulling back in order to look at her.
