Vaughn is still a rodent, but a rat this time! he's not a simple cog in the machine (a hamster in a wheel if you will) anymore, but the big cheese. he would've either been born more privleged or straight up cisgender in life, and in the afterlife uses kind of loan-shark tactics to gain souls (and his overlord status, by extension). Visually he's inspired by fanart of 1970's Chuck E. Cheese :-)

Vox is a more shark-like sinner in this AU; although he does have a lot of cockroach-esque features that are more visible in his full demon form i'd imagine (with his antennae being the only evidence otherwise). I made his glasses his eyes to keep the TV screen motif, and also because they were so cute on his human design and i mourn them. in this AU, in life he was trans But closeted about it (a lot like Vaughn within his normal canon, but never coming to terms with it in life.) and thus stays in his weatherman position for his entire career & probably died due to negligence on set- an electrified water situation similar to his canon death. he's also still taller than Vaughn, but his poor posture puts them on about the same eye-level now
