ooo man. qrow actually is. neutral on the ocean. he enjoys the beach    (    hellooooooo hot ladies!    )    for all the memories he’s had at the beach on patch witht he girls and with his team their younger years. but the clear, open water of the ocean is something he does not quite enjoy. lakes and rivers are okay, but the shear expanse of the ocean and the deadliness of it’s inhabitants are quite terrifying to the huntsman, even though he will never admit it. its half because of the whole bird thing, and the fact that if he went anywhere near the ocean something would surely devour him whole. he has a special fear of dying in bird form, and therefore doesn’t want to risk anything jumping out of the ocean at him.the other half of it is the fear of getting lost out there, that because of the vast endlessness that the ocean consists of could lead to him dying, like summer, or vanished, like his sister. that would end in him abandoning ruby, yang, and tai, and that, more than anything, is his greatest fear.
