Kloten, Switzerland, trying to kill off the "invasive" " japanese rose beetle" by prohibiting to water EVERY patch of grass and trees unless they're in pots tells you all you need to know about the relationship between swiss people and nature.
We're in the middle of a mass extinction, have lost uo to 80% of all insects here. And because of one bug (1), they make the people kill all of them.
Despite other myths, Switzerland experiences droughts every year, and it gets worse every year. With temperatures up to 38°C and an entire population of living beings (insects, mammals, humans, birds, fish and plants) still not adjusted to the current climate and weather, this will have devastating results.
