#inuyasha rambles

There's only one thing I don't like about the whole narrative arc of Kikyō as a character and it's that final moment with Inuyasha. I know some people just hate that kiss, but to me it's not that, I don't hate it per se, it's just that... I don't find it right that she, even then, even when she's finally free can't be honest enough with him and say "No, Inuyasha, you don't owe me anything, not even a kiss". I know, she does say that it's enough, but somehow she still acts as a victim with him. Don't get me wrong, she IS a victim, but still she's done horrible deeds, so... Kikyō, please, you could admit that he's never done anything wrong, certainly not to you, you could bring yourself to admit that it was you who did actually and actively harm him. You were hurt, you were angry, I know, I can empathize with that, but now... This is the missing piece. She admitting her own fault to Inuyasha. Acknowledging her position as both victim and perpetrator. Most likely he would not hear a word about it from her, but she should've forced him to listen. He would not understand there and then, but in time... Yes, he would.

”inuyasha is so toxic” uh no… he was a 15 year old boy who was alone for a good majority of his life to that point, obviously didn’t have a good grasp on being emotionally open, fell in love with an ADULT WOMAN and then BLAMED HIMSELF for her DEATH, etc. maybe cut him a little slack?? just maybe??

there’s a lot of reasons why yashahime pisses me off and why i refuse to watch and support it but the biggest is moroha. you’re going to look me dead in my face and tell me that after all the shit inuyasha and kagome went through to have the life they wanted they fr just said fuck it and gave their LITERAL BABY away?? miss me with that shit.
