Yuko was in her forties now. She had been in her thirties when the world nearly ended. Everyone else had forgotten, in the years since, but she remembered. She hadn't been expecting to meet anyone else who remembered.

Mana was twenty-six and had only gotten back her precious memories of Kitaro and his friends the year beforehand. That did, unfortunately, mean she remembered how Kitaro had been destroyed in front of her and how the world had nearly ended. No one else remembered that, it seemed, she thought she would go insane at this rate. And then she met Yuko.

Mana had seen the old cup in the antique store and not thought much of it, not even when Neko-neesan had picked it up to buy. It was a plain, old, slightly cracked thing stained from years of use, and Mana really didn't care much for such things.

But then she finally got to see Kitaro's home, and there was the cup, in the middle of the hut's single low table, full of hot tea, and Medama-Oyaji dozing in it.

Maybe the cup hadn't been something Mana wanted, but it seemed there was a home for it here at least.

A short commercial was made for a Kitaro x cosmetics collab, so I got to see new Mana footage for the first time in a long while!!
