โ My interpretation of Daenora pins her birth year as 207 AC, to accommodate the relative ageing up of the other characters within the TV series, and for the ease of the narrative. She takes after her father in appearanceโโโdark hair, and violet eyes the shade of orchidsโโโand after her mother, the lady Alys Arryn in disposition & manner, lending her a melancholy air more befitting the Eyrie than the Red Keep. She does retain a tinge of traditional Targaryen superiority and vanity, and holds an interest in the darker things.
โ Younger sister of twins Prince Aelor & Princess Aelora. They were closer to each other than they were to her. Still, their deaths sent her into a long mourning period.
โ Her betrothal to Aerion [ c. 225 AC ] was orchestrated with the intention of keeping her home with her family / she and Aerion are on friendly terms, as cousins, and have a mutual understanding between them. Note that I am writing her, and their dynamic, with my own characterisation of Aerion in mind. I do not write incestuous relationships in romantic capacity, but allusions are inevitable given the source material, and will thus not be tagged.
โ She was passed over in the line of succession due to a perceived malady of the mind. Indeed, the constitution of her mind is a contested affair, given her family history. [ Aside from a melancholic disposition, she is quite well, despite everyone doubting it. ] Maegor was passed over, too, for similiar concerns [ and given his namesake ... ] Daenora left court for a time after that and returned to her mother's family at the Eyrie, so Maegor can squire for one of the knights of the Vale. Both eventually perish in the tragedy at Summerhall.
