The characters, both main and side ones, feel real, and are involved in the story as people and not just tools to resolve the plot. The animals feel real, they are way more involved than usual, and they actually have personalities. The world feels real. And the one intimate scene that the fourth book had felt actually intimate and not just horny, despite not describing the act itself.

Wow, this is a lot to stomach. I totally agree with her stance and it shows (since she doesn’t seem to be part of the fandom) how weird this whole promotion looks to the gp and even experts.

It also fits what we have heard about Florence being the one who directed most of her own scenes. Poor Florence. Poor Harry.

So this may be an uncomfortable and weird question, but I would like to know your opinion on something....Harry is queer/gay....right? But how do you think it feels for a (potential) gay guy to kiss a woman?....like don't you think that it might spark some attraction between both Harry and Emma for example or anyone else? Bc a kiss (like actual lip to lip contact) and sex scenes are pretty vulnerable an intimate right? I mainly mean kissing scenes bc they are actual lip to lip kisses and if you kiss someone in the heat of the moment it might make you feel stuff for the other person in real life. It's not hard to fall for the person like so many co start fall in love with each other.....

No. I don't think a spark will fly between Harry and Emma when they do a kissing scene for the movie: My Policeman or when Harry and Florence do a kissing scene for the movie: Don't worry darling. A person who self-labels as gay is not going to fall in love with a woman overnight through a kissing scene where dozens of people and cameras are present. There is a reason why someone labels themselves as gay. The exact definition of a gay person is: a person who is sexually attracted to people of their own sex.

Moving on, Harry has kissed: Emma Ostilly, Taylor Swift, Olivia Wilde and Katy Perry (even though he wiped his mouth afterwards) since 2011. Despite whether or not those kisses were full lip to lip contact, Harry still signals that he is gay (that is why I think he labels himself as gay). So if those previous kisses haven't changed his orientation, I'm pretty sure these kissing scenes won't either.

Finally, I just want to say that kissing scenes are really not as intimate as many of you think. Kissing a random stranger on the street won't ignite a spark or anything like that. To really feel something about a kiss, you must already be half in love with or attracted to a certain person. If this didn't matter then you could, so to speak, kiss a wooden board and feel a spark. Kissing scenes are really anything but sexy or hot, usually these scenes are embarrassing and weird for the people who have to perform it.

These kissing scene usually include (in 99% of the movies) a peck on the lips not a French kiss or extended kiss in which they kind of 'chew' on each others lips. It's a movie, it's fake. There are dozens of people present with cameras and the whole kiss is staged with the help of an intimacy director. Intimacy directors are hired to facilitate scenes for the stage and screen involving physical touch, from moments of sexual tension to scenes featuring nudity and simulated sex and even familial intimacy. I also want to say that not all stage kisses are completely on the lips, sometimes two people kiss each other on the corner of the mouth or above the lips. Oh the angst in feeling broken and replaced for someone "normal" hits too close to home

Ok so I have already thought about this quite a bit...

So, at no point in-story will you have to engage in sexual acts or have to read about them, and any sexual history with/before Hope won't be talked about in depth (outside of some very obvious choices), BUT there will be the general assumption that your MC and Hope have had sex at some point, even if it's not explicitly stated? So if you're not comfortable headcanoning around that assumption then no, I'm afraid not 😩

The same kind of goes for anyone who is touch averse, unfortunately, being an actor means that not only are people almost constantly touching you whether you want them to or not (hair stylists, make up artists, wardrobe, tailors, the public at times, over familiar fans etc) but there's also the acting scenes because the film is going to be heavily romance-centred so there are intimate scenes that you will be physically partaking in there too.

You will be able to voice a general displeasure at not having your own autonomy, especially in Jamie's scenes, but you won't be able to *stop* it so if that makes anyone too uncomfortable then I'd totally understand!
