Prompt: Angelos interviews Muse for a possible job opening

Open to anyone even if we have never interacted before.

The office is neat, but not the uncomfortable pristen that feels unnatural as if no one actually uses it. There is a picture of some school reunion on the desk and a medical degree hanging on the wall, two silent reminders that the man had worked to get where he was. To balance this out, a mug with a joke about graphsheets sits one one corner of the desk with a few pens in it and an autographed baseball on the shelf behind the desk seems to say, 'see, I'm just like you.' It was an artfully decorated office for sure.

Angelos himself sits behind the desk, fingers laced together, green eyes searching your face. His curly hair is clipped out of his face to keep a professional appearance, but the first couple buttons of his shirt are undone suggesting that he isn't trying too hard to appear put together.

"So, tell me why you chose to apply here," he questions, keeping his tone light, yet professional.

“Coffee.”

“Can anything be cooked perfectly? I could cook the same dish twenty times, always trying to improve, and there will always be someone that has an issue with some part of it.” The near pretentious ramblings halted. “Cakes and confectionery. I enjoy cooking a great deal, but the artform that goes into those things specifically has lead to me putting in a lot more time than I want to admit in “perfecting” the craft.”

— if you could choose a pet, what what would it be?

“I have three pets already. My chocobos, Ripley and Dwayne, and my bat, Bishop.”

— how is your relationship with your parents?

“It was good while I knew them.”

— what is your favorite read?

“Folklore and history, mostly that of my kin. Cookbooks as well; always nice to get new ideas and find new things to try.”

“... People do it that way? Both socks, always both socks then boots. The other method just seems… strange.”

“Never. Anyone that has the time for that has too much time on their hands, or nothing interesting in their bed.”

— how do you feel about marriage?

“Seems like a waste of time and energy. I don’t quite see the point in making such grand gestures, just so two people can be trapped with one another, inevitably straying away into infidelity, resenting their shackles. Hell, some of them start that way before even saying their vows. They just agree to the whole thing for some petty personal gain, nothing more.” Louvel certainly looked the part of a bellhop with all that baggage he’s carrying.

 — who was the last person you crushed on?

“Sounds so juvenile in that phrasing, so I assume you’re asking about naive puppy love. Suppose that would have been Soleil Vaincannet. Although recently I’ve been enlightened to the possibility that might have been stockholm syndrome. Guess the answer is no one in that case.”

— what does your dream home look like? and where would it be?

“I have my dream home already. A secluded cave with all the comforts I need or want. Wouldn’t mind expanding it a little, if at all possible, but it’s by no means required.”

— what’s your worst habit?

“Tolerating people’s bullshit for longer than is reasonable. I guess I probably drink too much as well...”

— what do you do for a living and how do you feel about your job?

“I paint, and exhume corpses from the cave systems of the Shroud. On the side I work for Priarch Enterprises. I regard it all in mostly the same way; it’s something to do, and pays decently well. Painting is calming, when not dealing with an annoying client. My work in the caves is a means to an end I’ll not get into. Priarch? My coworkers are decent enough, as is my employer. I do the job more for them than the gil.”

Yes the ask was for the interview promot only, but now that makes me wonder how they are on the couch in a non interview setting, like yk there are those tik toks of couples on how they sit together based on the company they have, like how close and intimate they are, like with friends sitting on each other's lap if there are no free spaces, or a bit relaxed in front of the family.

What's up Couch Anon! I don't have TikTok, so I am not familiar with what you're referencing, but I think I get the gist.

Once they're together for real and all the fake stuff is behind them, Rock & Role Clarke is borderline clingy. The training that these two went through that required them to always be touching never fades. For the first time in her life, Clarke wants to be held, cuddled, and cared for, and she is giving it right back. Lexa always has that arm around Clarke from their first fifteen minutes of girlfriend training. If these two are in the same room, they're touching each other. Lexa's is usually gentle and reassuring. Clarke's is warm and content. It's not flirty, it's genuinely very loving. They started getting to know one another with a specific conditioned familiarity that only becomes more natural over time.

If there's only one seat, rather than sit on laps, Lexa stands and gives it to Clarke. They don't really change their behavior regardless of company. Clarke is the little spoon. Lexa plays with Clarke's hair a lot. There's a sweetness and honesty in their affection that surprises everyone, including the two of them.

Quality Ingredients Clarke and Lexa have been together for a very long time and they're incredibly comfortable with one another. Lexa has a strong and stiff posture most of the time, but sitting on the couch with Clarke alone, or with family and close friends, she finally relaxes. She typically has an arm across the back of the couch around Clarke so Clarke can lean in. Clarke is touchy in general, but moresoe with Lexa. Lots of taps on the thigh or the arm she she's talking. They're slightly more reserved around people they don't know, but for the most part these two act similarly regardless of who's around. Clarke always tones her affection down if they're somewhere Lexa is being filmed and photographed for work because she doesn't want to take away from what's going on.
