Hera taking her kids out for a walk
Angelos Panagiotou “Angelos”(b.1943, Greek) ~ The Annunciation, 1986
[Source: invaluable.com]
Hello guys! My exams are finally over and I’m back—it's time to start drawing again!
Here is my design for Angelos! Since she isn’t a very well-known figure, I have a lot of room to create new things for her.
A quick summary of her backstory: She is the daughter of Hera and Zeus, but she runs away from home after committing a theft. While her siblings and parents are searching for her, she gets mixed up in some shady business and hides in places where the Olympian gods would never set foot. Even though her family eventually finds her, they refuse to take her back because she’s been "tainted" by her past. Sent to the Underworld by her parents, Angelos is purified there, and in return, she becomes a member of the Underworld. Her role is basically like a courier; she mostly runs errands and serves as a messenger within the realm. The winged shoes are a gift from Hermes, while the hat and bag are from Iris.
OPEN RP - ANGELOS
Prompt: Angelos interviews Muse for a possible job opening
Open to anyone even if we have never interacted before.
The office is neat, but not the uncomfortable pristen that feels unnatural as if no one actually uses it. There is a picture of some school reunion on the desk and a medical degree hanging on the wall, two silent reminders that the man had worked to get where he was. To balance this out, a mug with a joke about graphsheets sits one one corner of the desk with a few pens in it and an autographed baseball on the shelf behind the desk seems to say, 'see, I'm just like you.' It was an artfully decorated office for sure.
Angelos himself sits behind the desk, fingers laced together, green eyes searching your face. His curly hair is clipped out of his face to keep a professional appearance, but the first couple buttons of his shirt are undone suggesting that he isn't trying too hard to appear put together.
"So, tell me why you chose to apply here," he questions, keeping his tone light, yet professional.

Idk if you know this, but I found out that Angelos (Zeus and Hera’s daughter in that one obscure scholia) is supposedly the same as Hecate!! Wikipedia says: “The story of Angelos is cited by the scholiast in a series of rare myths concerning the birth of Hecate, which makes it possible to think that Angelos was essentially equal to Hecate.”
lowkey love the idea of Hecate as Hera’s daughter. wdyt?
The only parentage of Hecate that I will ever like is the common/“mainstream” one.
Perses and Asteria are cool and I love all the minor details that exist about them. The way Hesiod describes their marriage is cute, Perses’s intelligence is described as being surpassed only by his daughter, and I think Asteria being the goddess of nighttime divination associates perfectly with Hecate being the goddess of magic.
I also just don’t think someone as cool as Hecate should be the same as the girl who betrayed her mother/my Queen Hera in favor of Zeus’s mistress.
i really likes this design of a swap angela made by Carmen based on Ayin
