Old Internet Witch Nostalgia:
1. The AOL pagan boards. Some seriously smart people. Lots of not so smart people. Some of the first real takedowns of Silver Ravenwolf happened on those boards. All of the arguments seem so tame by current internet standards.
2. Robin Artisson shenanigans. Seeing his name tossed around occasionally as a fairly obscure and noncontroversial author always makes me laugh a little.
3. Wiccan Wade.
4. All the old Pickingill fights on the UK Pagan forums.
5. The Amber and Jet mailing list.
6. alt.paganism, soc.religion.paganism, alt.magick, and every other Usenet group for pagans. So many obscure pissing contests.
7. Witch wars Yahoo groups.
8. Chaos Matrix.
I realize this will probably be relevant to, like, three other old people on Tumblr, but for some reason I couldn’t stop thinking about all of it this morning.
I only knew poor internet connection due to growing up in an isolated Tennessee valley.
Game discs played on an original slot loading iMac G3 were my only interaction with technology for much of my young life
But I was usually more interested in what my Mountain had to say
