Once upon a time in NYC I had the pleasure of meeting Oribe Canalis , a extraordinary human being, a beyond talented Hairdresser. I didn’t know the dimension and importance of this Theatrical Fashion Show I had been chosen as a main Model. “Until today I question myself how did I land that job ??? “ . It was the 10/18/2011 the Intercoiffure Awards, the day that Oribe received the Visionary Awards from he’s client and Friend Sarah Jessica Parker . Through he’s hands and creativity he transformed me from Marilyn Monroe to Elizabeth Talylor on the stage. To me, was a wild dream to play , to emerge deeply into the life of this two Iconic Woman’s we know so well. Oribe wanted to recreate the “act “, the time of Marilyn Monroe singing happy birthday Mr. President, that was my entrance to the stage. Hiding on the back of the massive, glorious ball room at the Waldorf Astoria, when nobody expected lights goes on directly on me, then I walk up to the stage just as Marilyn Monroe did. Not satisfied just yet, Oribe lights up a cigarette, passes to me as he starts to work on my hair and transportation. In between a drag and another Elizabeth Taylor it’s “ready “ to walk on the runway. He was much more then a hairdresser , he was a genius, artist, generous human being a visionary. Thank you Oribe, that job changed my career perspectives, you are leaving us way to soon . https://youtu.be/0lg1stFRF4A R.I.P Oribe Canales #oribe #intercoiffure #hairdresser #friend #iloveu #restinpeace (at Waldorf Astoria New York) https://www.instagram.com/p/BrlKyL7j_iY/?utm_source=ig_tumblr_share&igshid=1b1enfalpssuw
