Intelligence: Riley Neal
One thing I liked about Intelligence is that Riley is basically your Badass Normal: she doesn’t have what amounts to a superpower, unlike Gabriel, but she still holds her own just fine.
Also, on a more meta level, I like that Gabriel tries not to make assumptions about Riley’s sexuality: he briefly asks if she had or has a boyfriend or girlfriend, so my instant headcanon is that Riley is bisexual. :)

I love Riley so much.
In the pilot, she shows herself to be so professional that I expected her to be on board with keeping Gabriel focused and not distracted by finding his wife. Â Instead, she turns around and says, "Yeah, no, I'm gonna help you."
And she holds to that in this episode, hesitating at the thought of taking her out when Lillian asks her to.  But when the time comes, she shoots.  And she doesn't apologize for it because it was the right call.
She wants to help Gabriel find and reunite with his wife but she's not going to put all her faith in Gabriel's when it comes to public safety and her job. Not a week after meeting the guy.
