I had a fantastic day at the Archery Fit centre right in the heart of London yesterday, holding an Instinctive Archey workshop with some amazing students! Thank you all so much for letting me come and share my passion for instinctive and traditional archery with you guys! 
there really does need to be more venues like this in the UK!

Instinctive Archery is one of the most individual things you can do. Yes there are the fundamentals of good solid repeatable form, but other than that, there is no real right or wrong way, only your way. I recently had a commentor tell my that I wasn’t shooting instinctively because, I was holding at full draw for longer than “he” deemed the right amount of time to be instinctive, therefore I was gapping… unfortunately we live in a world of so-called armchair experts, and the anonymity of the internet has given folks like this a voice. 
Don’t let people like this negatively influence you, Especially if you are just starting out on your Archery journey. There is a wealth of information for you out there, drink it all in and apply from it what is relevant to the way you want to shoot. remember it’s your path and no one else’s…


I purchased this #arrowmat made by #archerytargets at arrowmat.com And am pretty pleased with it. It is basically an oversized mouse pad, and was heavy to hang on the spiderweb target at the range, but it got stuck with a variety of #arrows both aluminum and #woodenarrows #podunkhollowarrows and there were no bounce outs at 20 yards. These are advertised as #selfhealingtargets and in the closeup. You can hardly see the holes.
