Two days ago my slow cooker died with no warning.
It had loyally served me for many years and suffered a total power failure and is unsafe to operate.

Just finished brewing up some new #elderberrysyrup this time using #glycerin and water. I heated the water then steep the berries in it for a few minutes to unlock all the goodness, and then added #vegetableglycerin to the jar and let it all sit in my #instanpot for about 10 minutes on soup/broth then I quick released the steam and then put the lid in it. In a few weeks i'll strain the berries and be ready to use it.
