#installing pages

step 1 - open your theme editor and scroll down the menu on the left hand side ( the grey bar with all of your theme options for colour, adding links and images etc. ) near the bottom you will see a link to ‘add a page’ -

step 2 - click the link and you will see a white box with some options at the top.  you can type directly into this box to make content on the page ( you will see this in the preview to the right ) or you can add in some code for a ‘custom page’.

step 3 - to add a custom page, click the dropdown box at the top ( where it says ‘standard layout’ by default ) - then choose ‘custom layout’.  you will also need to enter something in the ‘url’ section.  for example /links or /about so that the page has a url.

step 4 - the custom layout page will give you a ‘dark grey’ blank box.  all you have to do now is copy the code you want to use and paste it into the box.

step 5 - click the ‘update preview’ button and you should see the new theme in place!  if you want to edit your page you will have to do so directly into the code - however, most theme makers will include text to help you with your editing in the code itself.
