Asoue fandom:
Which site would you say has the worst asoue content?
For me, the worst ones are instagram, deviantart, fanfiction.net and 667 dark avenue
Though, everything also has their good sides
Instagram is heteronormative and in some cases a bit stereotypical (and racist at times). But they do have pretty good edits sometimes, I’ll give them that
Deviantart does have very nice artworks of asoue, but... it’s also buried together with a lot of Baudcest and OlafxViolet art. I don’t feel comfortable scrolling through the fanart and finding Violet and Klaus HUGGING EACH OTHER NAKED (YES THAT EXISTED)
Fanfiction.net I don’t like in general. Mostly because of Some people there who seriously never reads the fanfics, and just search after people breaking the rules. So you can imagine I don’t really like a lot of asoue fics there either. Though, I have found some pretty good ones! It’s sad many of them got pretty bad comments (*cough* that Viodora fic from 2004 *cough*)
Then we have the 667 dark avenue forums... and it’s a nice place, I like the Idea. And I like to read old threads from like 2003, because people thought so differently! But that’s the thing, too. In the early 2000s, the internet people weren’t... as open as they are today. So if for example, someone asks why Isadora is identical to her brothers, no one on the forums would say she’s trans. In fact, they try to come up with explanations to why she is identical to her brothers with arguments like ”She is just a fraternal triplet that looks very much like her brothers!!”. That, or they just snicker and write ”oh, Isadora is actually a boy. Klaus will be suprised at their wedding night ;)” (someone actually wrote that-)
Also, the 667 dark avenue forums have a lot of links to not only baudcest, but QUAGCEST too. Luckily the links are so old they don’t work anymore. Also, they ship Sunny and Duncan-
