“The ABC’s of #Robin - ‘A’ is for “A Lonely Place of Dying”: #JasonTodd killed by the Joker in “Batman: A Death In The Family” had the #Batman not only emotionally broken, but also without a sidekick. The year 1989 left #DCComics creators wondering if they wanted to resurrect the character again. The answer came in #MarvWolfman and #PatBroderick's character Timothy Jackson Drake whose origin was detailed in the 5 part crossover story arc 'Batman: #ALonelyPlaceofDying', originally published in Batman (Vol 1) 440-442 and New Titans 60-61. The #DarkKnight has become reckless and more violent in his crusade for justice, which makes the Bat Family of Alfred Pennyworth and #DickGrayson aka #Nightwing worried for his well being. As Batman attempts to track down #TwoFace, Nightwing comes across young #TimDrake who, through his natural detective skills and slight fascination with the #CapedCrusader of Gotham and the Flying Graysons, has deduced that #BruceWayne is Batman, Grayson is Nightwing and #theBatman hasn’t been the same since the death of the Boy Wonder. Drake pleads with Dick to return to the Robin mantle for Batman’s sake, but Grayson wants to stay as Nightwing and lead the #TeenTitans. However, with his mentor in pain, Nightwing goes to help Batman in Gotham to stop Two-Face. This results in Tim briefly wearing the Robin costume when he learns that Nightwing and Batman have fallen into one of Two-Face’s traps. Drake saves this Dynamic Duo despite having the villain escape. In the end, between Batman and Nightwing and Tim Drake’s brilliant detective work, the trio are able to apprehend Two-Face. Although Batman worries about Tim Drake’s knowledge of his true identity, he does realize that he needs a partner to balance out his guilt and rage since Jason Todd’s death, leading to Tim Drake’s training to become the 3rd Robin. “The Battle Within: A History of the #Injustice Universe” - The Battle Never Ends; Conclusion: Before the sequel video game to #InjusticeGodsAmongUs, #Injustice2 was released in May 2017, a month prior writer #TomTaylor returned to write a prequel tie-in arc for the new game. As #Superman is still contained in a prison cell, #Batman and a new ally in #HarleyQuinn try to figure how to fix the damage the Man of Steel and his regime has done. Before Harley can be of service to the #DarkKnight, she is involuntarily tied to be part of the #SuicideSquad. As #GreenArrow from a different timeline and #BlackCanary who joined him return to this current universe to help, not only does Batman go up against another more lethal Batman (cover to issue 2 by #BrunoRedondo and #AlejandroSanchez presented) but also the prison becomes weakened, giving Superman a chance to escape. A squabble between Bruce and Damian aka #Robin and a struggle to make this reality whole again all lead into the current Injustice 2 comics out today. #TheBatman has been part of dozens upon dozens of different timelines and universes within DC Comics history and the Injustice Universe is perhaps one of the most exciting, bringing together both long time comic book readers and gamers alike. “The Battle Within: A History of the Injustice Universe” - Universes Collide: On April 16, 2013, the NetherRealm Studios released the video game #InjusticeGodsAmongUs, bringing to life a new reality and uniting many of #DCComics greatest characters. In an alternate timeline, when The #Joker tricks #Superman into killing his wife Lois Lane, their unborn child and setting off a deadly nuclear weapon in #Metropolis, the Man of Steel reacts by not only killing Joker but starting a totalitarian dictatorship thinking this will eradicate #injustice once and for all. This results in the #Batman creating an insurgency of heroes, which ignites a civil war and ultimately the end of the #JusticeLeague. In the “prime” universe, #LexLuthor supplies The Joker and #HarleyQuinn with a nuclear weapon to destroy Metropolis. This Justice League stops the bomb in time, but in turn are transported to the alternate timeline of Superman’s dictatorship and his One Earth Regime five years since its beginning. There, prime Justice League meet alternate Batman and his insurgency and prime members from #Aquaman to #GreenLantern to #GreenArrow have to fight their alternate counterparts that joined Superman’s dictatorship. During these battles, prime Batman is captured by Superman’s regime and is sentenced to death, leading to the insurgency and prime Justice League to save the Dark Knight. Once prime universe’s #Cyborg, #TheFlash and Superman find their allies in the alternate timeline, the Man of Steel goes up against his dictator counterpart and is victorious. Alternate Superman is placed in a prison emitting red sun radiation, his regime headed by #WonderWoman is dismantled and arrested and prime Justice League is sent back to their respected universe with the end showing Superman with a glimpse he is still powerful.
