These two come abt as close as anything to describing my own personal zeitgeist. I wish more folks truly understood that not a single moment more of your life is guaranteed. Squeeze as much adventure as you can out of every possible second. Make mundanity interesting and colorful and layered. You don’t have to be rich to do it—in fact I happen to believe that wealth rather impedes this from happening. Wealth shelters and protects you from risk and without risk there would be no adventure. Build the community you want around you—no, it’s not the easiest thing to do, but it’s worth it. You’ll have love and support and you won’t feel like all of your burdens are yours alone to shoulder. FFS, humans are a social and communal species. We can survive on our own, but we need each other to thrive.
