Then, after some time and gaining trust, I’d say :

Believe in yourself. You told me that Carmen was the only criminal you never caught, meaning you got all the others. It’s good, very good. There will always be people to belittle you, who’ll think you’re worthless, incompetent and all.

Won’t mean it’s true so far, let them talk. You can’t always win either, you’ll make mistakes just like everyone else. What is important is what you learn from it. Let some persons be close to you, you’ll have support that way. True friends will accept your flaws, don’t be afraid. They too, can be afraid, stressed, doubt themselves. They’re like you in a way.

Remain calm, don’t rush you’ll just hurt yourself, we can’t have that. You’re doing great when you take time to do your job. But take care of yourself too, it’s important, you’ll be optimal for your work, and for living.

You’re not perfect ? I sure hope so. Perfection is boring. Personally, I appreciate you the way you are. Be yourself anyway, everybody else is already taken.
