I got 45 minutes of sleep last night.
seriously.
I had such bad insomnia last night. Waiting to fall asleep in bed caused me more anxiety than rest, so I got up and did the dishes. That didn't work, so I went to my office to answer some emails and queue them for morning. That didn't work. I finally got drowsy around 5am, and was probably asleep by 5:30.
I had a doctor appt at 8:15 am, so I had to be up for 7am to get ready and get to the appointment.
I made sure today was busy, full of errands and work. I got things done, always on the move, talked to people. I needed to keep awake today. Because if I went to bed or messed with my sleep for tonight, I'd be in the same place.
The doctors appointment was good. He gave me a different sleep medicine, one that is less habit forming and less of a problem with my other meds. He said it will act fast, so take it while in bed.
It is weird to be looking forward to that.
