#insect burger

So I finally got to taste one of these, and I loved it; it’s useless to compare it to beef or chicken, it’s simply a completely new kind of meat. 

Unfortunately, only a few grocery stores are selling these burgers, and none of them are anywhere close to where I live. 

I’m also kinda distressed how all marketing for products like this is always about “do you want to be braaaave and eat something really weeeeeird?!” (maybe throw in a spoonful of “this might be the food of the distant future when we’ve already depleted everything else”), which is completely besides the point. 

It’s supposed to adress people’s inhibitions and prejudices, but I’m afraid it risks cementing the product as something marginal. Which it really, really doesn’t have to be. I for one am going to be super mad if this product will be dismissed as a novelty item and disappear completely before long. Like, imagine we didn’t have chicken because someone down the line called it a “novelty meat”.
