30 Day Character Development Challenge
So i got tagged by @villaintohero and I’m gonna do this for my Dragon Age Character Vaya
Day 1
Describe your character's relationship with their mother or their father, or both. Was it good? Bad?Â
Mother She didn’t know much about her, since she died as she was very young. Her mother had always been a physical weak woman, according to her father, and got sick pretty often. The birth of her younger brother was probably too much for her and she didn’t wake up anymore. They don’t know for sure why she died, but she did and she’s missed.
Father Her father is actually a sweetheart, but much too worried about her. Vaya is the only daughter of him and of course he wants the best for her, but leaves enough room so she can freely express herself. He tries his best to be a good parent, taking care of the 6 children his wife had left him behind with. Of course he breaks down once n a while, since sometimes its just too much for him. Vaya once caught him crying, he wiped away the tears, smiled at her and made some stupid dad!joke. Vaya worries a great deal when it comes to her father and the relationship is pretty good. Another reason why she wishes to return home soon, since she doesnt want to leave his father behind, she wants to make sure that he is not taking his happiness too short and does too much for the sake of everyone else. Also she feels bad for leaving him, yet another female family part that leaves him.Â
Were they spoiled rotten, ignored?Â
Taking care of 6 children is a hard task, so yes, Vaya got ignored once in a while, but only because of the amount of stress her father was dealing with. It was nothing that bothered her though, she left and found something to pass time with. In the end it just helped her to become more adulty.Â
Do they still get along now, or no?
Yes they do still get along. Even though Vaya already reached adulthood due to her Vallaslin and the hunting thing, her father still worries much about her. As she was at home she made some time, to simply sit down with her father somewhere, talking about things that she cared about or thought about. He would always listen and make jokes, help her with problems or encourage her. She misses those times and feels lonely in the inquisition and a bit like it all crashes down on her. And her father misses her terribly as well, but understands that she also has to go her own way. Even though it hurts him seeing her leave, but shes an adult and she can make her own decisions. Also he has 5 remaining children to take care of and that he loves just the same.Â
