Tommy hadn't been to a proper fair in ages. The last time was probably when he was about 8 or 9, back when Frank and Mary were able to pretend that they liked each other, when there were able to pretend that they liked him.
He thought it would be a fun idea to take his cousin out with him, especially since his friends were all busy and Billy was in space. They hadn't spent a huge amount of time together outside of family gatherings, but he figured it'd be nice to do something, just the two of them.
It had been going great until he had turned around in the funhouse, only to discover that Luna was no longer trailing along behind him.
“Shit.” He cursed, turning to try and go back the way he came. Tommy bumped into the mirrors as he walked.
He could swear that he heard her call for him, but the sound was still quite distant. He abandoned him original plan of retracing his steps, instead deciding to take the shortcut. If you can't go around, go through.
Tommy vibrated his way through the walls of the attraction, his chest flooding with relief when he found Luna.
“There you are.” He said, pulling her close into his side. “I hear you, I hear you. Hold on tight, we're taking the shortcut.”
Moments later, the pair were standing outside the attraction. Tommy squinted against the bright sun, watching Luna carefully.
