"mosuun galsan" from the project inksonations (small piantings with made up titles) full and details Experimenting with new painting surfaces for watercolors and mixed media. This one looks like the most promising for my needs at the moment: a waterproof plate (in this case acrylic glass) gets coated with a mix of volcanic ash, acrylic binder, water and Kaolin powder. After drying, the paint spreads similar to cotton paper on this surface, but without any buckling, even with big amounts of water or inks added. Thin sharp lines with pens (even fountain pen) can be drawn also. I think I used almost equal amounts of volumes of the ingredients when I mixed the surface coating. The idea came from a while ago when I put one of those words into google translate, and it turned out it was actually a word of an existing language. Meanwhile it seems to me that most of the words you can make up already exist in any of the existing languages.
