omfg thank you so much!!! I struggled soooo much when I first started writing smut, and now its the other way around for me xD if I try and write anything BUT smut then I just stare at my screen like ????

AKJFLKDJSLKGJKL thank you!!!!!!!!!! I had that same mindset last year, that I just wanted to spend a little more time/effort on my appearance. Heres some stuff I did that really helped:  1. I know this site is whack and full of stolen content, but Pinterest is great to find outfits, hairstyles, makeup looks, etc. I have so many boards on there for all the styles I like and when I’m getting ready, I tend to quickly scroll thru my boards to find the right look for me that day.  2. Binge watch makeup and hair tutorials on youtube. I can sit and watch those things for hours. I learnt way more from youtube than I did during my uni course, plus you’re supporting those content creators with views/likes so its a win-win for everyone!!! 3. Practise practise practise. When I first started trying new things with my style, I’d begin getting ready an extra 30 mins before I usually do, mostly because I’d fuck up my hair/makeup quite a bit before getting it right. You just have to keep practising and remind yourself that you’ll eventually get there. It does get really frustrating but if you find yourself getting worked up then just stop bothering with it and come back to it at a later time. I’ve fucked up so many hairstyles especially, given up on them, then tried them again a few days later and managed to eventually do them. So satisfying when you finally manage it >:)  4. Try and get rid of that damaging mindset of ‘oh they look better than me and i’ll never be able to look like that.’   I’m not saying you have it, but I used to have it and I never realised how much it was affecting me and my confidence. You’ve gotta view it from the perspective of ‘oh they look great and I know I could look great in that style too!’  5. As for motivation, remind yourself that you’re doing this for YOU. Yeah, some days I just cba to get up and get ready when I could be in bed, but I remind myself that I want to look good for myself, but also because it really helps my self-confidence issues. For me, it’s crazy that putting some eyeliner on and making my hair look decent can really help me feel so-much-more confident :0)  Hopefully this helps??!?!?!?!!?!
