There’s something almost captivating, almost artistic, about having IV stretched out and begging for more, for mercy, which in the end mostly comes down to the same thing with IV. There’s something, too, about the state of him afterwards, when he’s broken down enough to stop fighting,to lean in to the fingers Michael runs through his hair and just mumble sleepily if Michael calls him Thomas - because he’s IV, the rest of the time, and Michael doesn’t want IV because IV isn’t family but Thomas is. So maybe it isn’t quite right, maybe others would frown on it, but Michael has done everything to regain his family and if breaking IV down again and again with hands and mouth is what it takes to keep Thomas, to keep family, then so be it.
