Shaggy Inkcap (Coprinus Comatus)
Season: Late summer - Autumn
Nutrition: Edible
"All inkcaps have dark-coloured spores and often produce a black inky fluid as they mature. The shaggy appearance of this mushroom is due to the white, brown tipped scales covering its tall cap. With age, the cap opens and the gills slowly blacken and autodigest (deliquesce).
